 Youtube Ads Types

GEOGLE YouTube offers various types of ads that advertisers can use to promote their content, products, or services. Here are the main types of YouTube ads:

1. TrueView Ads

   - TrueView In-Stream Ads: These are skippable video ads that appear before, during, or after other YouTube videos. Viewers have the option to skip the ad after the first 5 seconds, and advertisers are only charged if viewers watch at least 30 seconds of the ad (or the entire ad if it's shorter than 30 seconds) or interact with the ad.

   - TrueView Video Discovery Ads: Formerly known as In-Display Ads, these ads appear in YouTube search results, next to related videos, and on the YouTube homepage. They are displayed as thumbnail images with a call-to-action, and advertisers are charged when viewers click on the ad to watch the video.

2. Non-Skippable In-Stream Ads

   - These are short video ads that viewers cannot skip. They appear before, during, or after YouTube videos and usually last for 15-20 seconds. Advertisers are charged on a CPM (cost per thousand impressions) basis.

3. Bumper Ads

   - Bumper ads are non-skippable video ads of up to 6 seconds in length. They appear before, during, or after YouTube videos and are designed to deliver short and impactful messages. Advertisers are charged on a CPM basis.

4. Masthead Ads

   - Masthead ads are premium, high-impact ads that appear at the top of the YouTube homepage. They provide maximum visibility and reach as they are the first thing users see when they visit YouTube. These ads can be in the form of a video or a static image and are typically booked on a cost-per-day basis.

5. Overlay Ads

   - Overlay ads are semi-transparent banner ads that appear at the bottom of YouTube videos. They can be closed by viewers if they wish to, and advertisers are charged on a CPM basis.

6. Sponsored Cards

   - Sponsored cards are small, unobtrusive cards that appear within YouTube videos. They can display content such as products, videos, playlists, and more, and viewers can click on the cards for additional information. Advertisers are charged based on clicks.

It's worth noting that YouTube is continuously evolving its advertising offerings, and new ad formats or changes to existing formats may be introduced over time. When setting up YouTube ad campaigns, advertisers can use Google Ads (formerly known as AdWords) to manage and run their ads across both YouTube and the Google Display Network. This allows advertisers to access a wide range of targeting options and reach a broader audience across various platforms.
