 Youtube Type of Ads

GEOGLE YouTube offers several types of ads that advertisers can use to promote their content, products, or services on the platform. These ad formats cater to different objectives and can be targeted to specific audiences. Here are the main types of ads available on YouTube:

1. Skippable In-Stream Ads

These are video ads that play before, during, or after a viewer's chosen video. The viewer has the option to skip the ad after the first five seconds. Advertisers are charged on a cost-per-view (CPV) basis, meaning they pay when a viewer watches at least 30 seconds of the ad (or the entire ad if it's shorter than 30 seconds) or engages with the ad, whichever comes first.

2. Non-Skippable In-Stream Ads

These are video ads that play before, during, or after a viewer's chosen video, and the viewer cannot skip them. Non-skippable ads can be either 15 seconds or 20 seconds in length. Advertisers are charged on a cost-per-thousand-impressions (CPM) basis, where they pay for every 1,000 ad impressions.

3. Bumper Ads

Bumper ads are short, non-skippable video ads that play before a viewer's chosen video and must be six seconds or shorter. These ads are designed to capture attention quickly. Advertisers are typically charged on a CPM basis for bumper ads.

4. Video Discovery Ads (formerly known as TrueView Discovery)

These are ads that appear on YouTube search results, related videos, and the YouTube homepage in the form of a thumbnail image and text. Advertisers are charged when viewers click on the ad to watch the video (cost-per-click or CPC).

5. Masthead Ads

Masthead ads are premium, high-impact ads that appear at the top of the YouTube homepage. They are visible to users when they visit the YouTube homepage on their desktop or mobile devices. Masthead ads are typically sold on a cost-per-day (CPD) basis.

6. Outstream Ads

Outstream ads are mobile-only video ads that play on partner sites and apps, not on YouTube itself. These ads autoplay when they are in view on the screen. Advertisers are typically charged on a CPM basis for outstream ads.

Each type of ad serves a different purpose and may be more suitable for specific advertising goals. Advertisers can use the Google Ads platform to create and manage their YouTube ad campaigns and choose the ad format that aligns best with their marketing objectives and target audience.
